# S-Docs Installation Error Encryption Key Unavailable

### Root Cause

During the client's Sandbox refresh, the settings for platform encryption were transferred, but the encryption key was not transferred or it is invalid.

### Resolution

Go to Setup | Certificate and Key Management | Master Encryption Keys and click "Archive Current Key and Create New Key". This will archive any existing key and create a new key.
